Turkey creek festival

Last weekend, my parents and I took the kids to Antioch park for the Turkey Creek festival.  They had bounce houses, train rides, face painting, hair spraying, pony rides and a petting zoo.  Most of the stuff was free! (we had to pay for the Batman face painting).  In the petting zoo they even had a zebra, monkey and kangaroo. It was cloudy all day and sprinkled a little, but never enough to stop the fun.

Pool time!

Jiggle Jam

Over Memorial Day weekend, Tim and I took the kids to Jiggle Jam at crown center.  Their cousins Blaire and Blythe were able to come with us too.  Everyone had a ton of fun riding the train, playing in the bounce houses, and listening to music.  We ate lunch at Fritz's. which is Jeremy's favorite of course.  As an added bonus this year, I had won four V.I.P. tickets from last year so we were able to go for free and get free food an drinks throughout the day.  We got free face painting and a separate line so we didn't have to wait  Jeremy got Spiderman painted on his face and it looked great!

Johnston Farms

A few weeks ago we went to a "mommy and me" event at Johnstong Farms.  The kids did peat pot planting, jumped on the jumping pillow, played on the playground and climbed around on an old fire truck and tractor.  They also had a balloon artist, but the balloons all popped before we could get to the car.  The kids had a great time and I won 4 tickets to Schlitterbahn water park!

Sporting KC game

A few weeks ago we went to the Sporting KC game.  They were having an event to raise money for the Camps for Kids charity.  It was a hot evening , but everyone enjoyed themselves.  I'm not a fan of soccer, but it was still fun to be with the crowd and see the new Livestrong park.  Jeremy's favorite part was the face painting and balloon artist at the tailgate.  Haley's favorite was the BBQ!  We actually made it home without his penguin balloon popping.  It lasted for a few weeks!
