T-ball

 Last weekend Jeremy starting playing itty bitty t-ball. He is excited about it, but has trouble staying focused for the amount of time they are at each station.  He loves to put on the batting helmet to bat and practice running from base to base at the running station. The hitting, throwing and grounders stations get to be a little long for him and he likes to sit and play in the grass and dirt :)  Last week was great weather, however today was really hot so he didn't have too much energy.  Hopefully next week will be at least a little cooler because they actually play a game for a portion of the time.  Haley entertains herself very well climbing on the bleachers, grabbing snacks from my purse and playing in the dirt.

Train Garden

  A few weeks ago Grandpa and Grandma Ficklin and I took the kids to the Overland Park Arbortuem where they have a new train garden.  There were model trains moving through tunnels and over bridges to watch, a child size ticket booth to play in, and a cabbose that you can climb on parts of.  There was also a big rock digging area near it they loved to play in.

Swimming

  This summer Jeremy took two weeks of swimming lessons.  He had a great time and even jumped off the diving board (with his instructor catching him).  Jeremy and Haley both have enjoyed the inflatable pool and slide at our house and the inflatable pool at Grandma and Grandpa Ficklin's house.  We also had the chance to go to our cousin's house a few weeks ago to use their pool and tomorrow we are going to another cousin's house to swim in their pool.

Day out with Thomas

  A few weeks ago we took the kids to Day out with Thomas in Baldwin City.  It was a long day, but the kids had a great time.  There was a magican, train tables, bounce houses, mini golf, a petting zoo, pictures with Sir Tomphan Hatt, and of course a 25 minute train ride with Thomas as the engine!
