Pumpkin patches

This year we have gone to three different pumpkin patches.  Luckily, I had many free passes and coupons!  Jeremy and Haley both had a blast at all three and keep asking about going back.  All three had a train so that was a hit.  We went to Carolyn's (up north) first then Faulkner's (Raytown road) and then KC (Gardner).  The kids and I all agreed that KC was the best one even though it was really cold!  We will definitely go back next year.

It was cold, everyone around was wearing ssweatshirts, but little Miss Haley has a mind of her own and refused to put hers back on

Preschool

Haley started going to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Jeremy.  Jeremy is the gold stars class and Haley is in red triangles.  Jeremy loved school last year and absolutely loves it again this year. He never cried when I left and was always excited to go.  It was different story for Haley.  She screamed and tried to escape her classroom to chase after me the first day.  She cried for a few times after that too.  The last two days she pouted and sucked on her fingers, but no crying.  So we are making progress.  She comes home and talks about school and gets her stuff ready in the morning to go, but then as soon as we get to her classroom she says "hold you".  They do get to see each other at recess and sometimes music class, which seems to help calm her down.  The two pictures are from the first day (Sept.4th)

Royals game

Another Royals season has ended and once again the team didn't do well.  However we enjoyed using our season tickets and getting the chance to go to the All-star game.  The kids loved singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", seeing the hot dog derby, putting their hand on their hearts for the National Anthem and singing along with "guy". "Guy" is Garth Brooks and in the 6th inning the whole stadium sings along to his song, "Friends in Low Places". They love it and ask to listen to it in the car all the time.  Twice this year, some of our cousins and both sets of grandparents were able to come with us also.
