This past weekend we spent the morning at the Midwest Kidsfest. They had tons of activities for the kids and they had a blast. Jeremy loved the bounce houses, guitar hero game, mini golf, painting, bike riding and seeing Elmo, CoCo Keys parrot and Winnie the Pooh. Haley loved the characters this time too. That was the first time she had ever went up to and hugged a character. After Elmo left she was asking for him again. She also liked the mini golf, painting, seeing birds, climbing and sliding and bike riding. She had a great time in the bounce houses and was intimidated at all of the bigger kids in there.

T bones game
A few weekends ago, we went to the T bones game to tailgate and watch the game. It was to help raise money and awareness for the Camps for Kids charity. The kids had a great time, despite the hot weather. Actually once we got into the stadium, it was very comfortable.

Family day at the K
Sunday we went to the Royals game with both sets of grandparents and some of our cousins. The Royals lost, but everyone had a great time. Jeremy loved tailgating, playing with his cousins and playing in the little K. He wanted to make sure we went into the stadium before the National Anthem. He loves to put his hand on his heart and be silent while the flag is on the field. Jeremy also looks forward to seeing "guy" in the 6th inning. Guy is Garth Brooks and Jeremy loves to sing along with "Friends in Low Places" with the rest of the crowd. Haley was kind of quiet at the tailgate for some reason, but was better once the game started. She enjoyed playing in the little K too and singing "guy" and "Take me out to the Ballgame". She took a little nap in my lap during the game and then woke up full of energy.

Franklin park
We were able to make it to the park one day last week before it was too hot. Jeremy loves the water, playground and sand. Haley loves it all too!
