This year, as we have done for many years, we went to my aunt and uncle's house at Lake Lotawana to spend the day with family. It was a long, hot day, but the kids had a great time. Jeremy spent some time fishing with his cousins, playing in the lake, taking Grandpa Ficklin for a ride in an inflatable boat, going for a boat ride, celebrating cousin Isabella's 13th birthday, getting his face painted and playing with his cousins. Haley spent the day playing in the inflatable pool, eating and playing with her cousins. There was a large firework display at the end of the night, but unfotunately both kids were scared and we had to head inside. It was really loud and bothered them a lot. They both feel asleep on the drive home and didn't wake up when I carried them into their beds at home.
